Learning takes on different methods at KDC; starting from large group sessions (whole 1st year class) to Discipleship Groups (15-18 students) to small groups (up to 5) and including one on one mentorship with a leader. Each student will have the opportunity to learn and engage in various settings.
Students enrolled in KDC should consider themselves carrying a full course load. The total coursework hours will be about 8-10 hours a week, excluding church/discipleship/mentorship meetings.
Graduation signifies that all academic, attendance, financial requirements and spiritual task criteria for the year, have been met with honor.
To be eligible for a Certificate of Completion for the year, a student must meet the following criteria:
Reading is a large part of the curriculum at KDC. Students are expected and encouraged to have personal devotion time of 30-60 minutes per day. Throughout the course of the 3 trimesters, students’ reading will include 12-15 instructional books as well as the Bible.
The goal of KDC is to provide a place for transformation to take place. Class participation, timely completion of assignments, spirit of excellence in each task is expected of each student.
KDC holds honor as a foundational concept. As such, assignments are based on trust, honor and honesty. This in turn helps build exactly that in each student. Students learn to build integrity one assignment, one book report, one exam at a time.
